I only have one thing to report today. I’ve been working on Carl non stop since last week, and now… HE’S FINISHED! CARL IS FINISHED!
I’m waiting for him to fully dry before giving him a through pressing, and then I’ll start the framing process! I’m just so happy he’s finally finished!

I haven’t made nearly enough progress as I would like, but there’s a good reason. Spooky has been extra cuddly lately, sleeping in my lap/chest/on my arm a lot, which prevents a lot of stitching, so I’m not complaining lol.
I’m almost finished with the current page of Carl:
It’s a really good thing that I bought two skeins of 169, because I’ve used the entire first one already.
I worked a little on the fairies, too:

I’m looking forward to relaxing today and doing as much work as possible on Carl while I watch The Walking Dead alllllllllllllllllllllllll day long lol
As a bonus bit of awesome news………….. My etsy shop will soon be offering 28 count evenweave!!!!!! I hope to get the first pieces listed this week, so if you’re interested, check the shop every day to see when they go up!

That’s right ladies and gents! Carl is BACK!
While I may not have won the fan art contest, I did win tickets to the season premiere of The Walking Dead event in LA. However… it doesn’t look like I can go. Transportation for me is either to expensive, or not reliable enough. I’m keeping my chin up though! I’ll happily be working on Carl all day on the 22nd, as well as during commercial breaks while the new episode is on!
In other awesome news: I finished everything I can do on Flora! I’ll wait until I’m done with the main stitching in all of the fairies before I start doing the swirls and other magical sparkle bits that mostly include beads, but here she is:
I’ve done a bit more on the white dress, as well: (it’s fairly slow-going since it’s 99% B5200)
And I even bought two new patterns on etsy! They’re inspired by my favorite Christmas movie: National Lampoon’s Christmas Vacation:
The last bit of stitchy news is that I will hopefully soon be carrying 28 count evenweave in my etsy store!!!!!!!!!!!!! YAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most of what I’ve been working on lately is Firefly Fairies. Specifically, Flora’s underskirt. It’s very full. Ridiculously full. but it’s only a couple of colors, so it’s kinda nice to work on. Not too many changes to deal with.
See that little snowflake? It’s a needleminder I made! I might make more, or I might use them as ‘treasures’ for that snow-themed dress pattern I showed you last week.
I did manage to order some new threads for Carl, but I have no idea when they’ll be in. So in the mean time, I started a new project. It’s the white dress pattern I showed you last week, and I’ve already added a bit of bling to it:
It’s hard to see, but that silvery bit is a diamond-like rhinestone that I think adds that little something extra to it.

I probably should have, but I didn’t. Guys. I swear I had bought an extra skein of DMC 169, but I can’t find it anywhere! So I’m 100% out of it, and neither of my two local stores that sells DMC has it. Even if I sucked it up and spent $6 on one skein, including shipping, it wouldn’t get to me in time to meet the deadline. So I’m going to have to submit the picture without finishing this section of stitching.Oh well. At least you can clearly see Carl’s face:

I’m not completely happy with all of the patterns yet, but so far so good. The first and the third ones will have special treasures that I still need to get in, and the third one is going to have a special new thread that will soon be available in my shop!
