Wow this went fast.

This page has been going by rather fast. I mean, sure, most of the page is different shades of red stitches, and I haven’t done any of them yet, but I have everything else finished! Here’s the picture:

Also, on Monday I participated in a small event called ‘Holidays in July’ in which everyone worked on something ‘December holiday’ related. I stitched a Dalmatian puppy trying to catch snowflakes:

That’s all the stitching related stuff for now. So here’s some kitten pictures!

So until next time, Happy Stitching!

A bit more progress

I don’t have a whole lot to show today. I’ve finished 8 colors so far on page 5, so that’s good. I’m working on the largest bit of blue at the top right now, and to help with that, I drew a line showing where the stitches end using my water soluble pencil. Here’s the picture:

Tomorrow¬†I’ll be taking part in the stitch along called ‘Holidays in July’ and will be stitching a Dalmatian puppy catching snowflakes on its tongue. It’s really simple, and tiny compared to the big Disney piece, but I like it. I’ll post a picture of that next week.

And now for the moment you’ve all been waiting for…. Kitten pictures!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

Special post of awesomeness!

GUYS! I finished page four!!!!!!!!!!!! Here’s the picture:

Also, last month I had a suspicion that Mrs. Norris was a boy, but nobody believed me. Yesterday I was able to show proof that he is male, and I then really didn’t feel comfortable calling him Mrs. Norris, Mr. Norris, or Norris, so I’m calling him Crookshanks. I think this name suits the little darling better.

So until next time, Happy Stitching!

Lots of progress, an old finish, and more kitten pictures!

I got a lot done this last week. The lamp is almost completely filled in, and I did most of Jasmine’s skin. There are only a couple highlights and shadows I need to fill in, then her eyes and mouth, and then her skin will be done! Here’s the picture:

Also, I found an old, small thing I made last year. I was practicing my letters, and decided to write ‘Froehliche Weihnachten’ which means ‘Happy Christmas’ in German. Now, there’s another two inches or so of fabric that you can’t see, off to the side, so I thought I might write ‘Stille Nacht’ which is German for ‘Silent Night’, since it’s my favorite Christmas song. Here’s the picture:

Lastly, some kitten pictures!

Spooky cropped

That’s¬†all for now! Until next time, Happy Stitching!

A surprising amount of progress… and kittens

Sorry this is posted so late in the day everyone! Time got away from me today.

I’ve managed to get about 18 colors done so far, so this page is looking good!

I haven’t worked on anything else, really, so here’s some gratuitous kitten pictures!

I actually managed to get pictures of Spooky’s face! And Mrs. Norris is as cute and photogenic as ever! (though she stays away from the camera when possible)

Until next time, Happy Stitching!

Page Four!!!!

Yes! I am finally on page four!!!

Here’s a picture of the cross stitch from Monday of last week:

And here’s the most recent picture:

I have five colors done, and should have the sixth done today. It may not seem like much, but out of forty-nine, it’s not bad!

Until next time, Happy Stitching!
